Environmental Design in Scotland

A leading architectural design and environmental practice working extensively in Scotland and the wider UK and with projects ranging in scope and size, EDS Environment and Design's core skills include Master planning and Urban Design, Environmental Assessment, Landscape, Ecology, Architecture and Arboriculture.

With a valuable mix of multi-disciplinary expertise to enable us to respond to very complex projects in a creative yet thorough and co-ordinated manner, we believe in working closely with our clients as a team; we have implemented many award winning schemes in environmentally sensitive locations.

We can support you with our multi-disciplinary approach to Environmental Design in every stage of your project.

We will assist in your project feasibility and capacity studies from the outset. We can work alongside you to achieve planning permissions; assemble developed and tender stage designs, and we can support you through your site implementation and aftercare.

Our services include initial baseline surveys and audits, constraints analysis mapping, environmental capacity assessments, detailed designs, design guides and briefs, and subsequent implementation and management.
Brownfield sites constitute a significant proportion of our master-planning workload with completed schemes encompassing residential, commercial and industrial, leisure and environmental end uses. Bringing derelict land back into productive use, fitting developments into their context and conserving environmental assets producing measurable economic benefits.

The integrated core of skills within our practice ensures that we are able to tackle urban design projects through a creative yet robust process. Combining a thorough appreciation and understanding of urban form we have the knowledge and vision to produce urban design strategies and detailed designs leading to the creation of dynamic and enterprising places.

We are experienced in community and stakeholder participation, public meetings and preparing exhibitions and leaflets. Contact us now to discuss how our complementary blend of Environmental Design skills can help you deliver a sustainable future.
